Filing Deadlines
Complaints and other written correspondence sent by the United States mail shall be considered filed as of the postmark date. Complaints and other written correspondence sent by a delivery service other than the United States Postal System shall be considered as filed as of the date sent as indicated by the shipper's tracking label.
- This provision does not apply to communications mailed to any location other than the Board’s office at 719 Batavia Avenue in Geneva, Illinois.
- Communications mailed but not received by the Board, or received without a readable cancellation mark, shall be deemed filed on the date mailed only if the sender provides evidence that the communication was properly addressed and deposited on or before the required filing date.
